Hello and thank you for visiting our blog. My mom and I are so excited to begin sharing ours hearts with you. First I want to tell you a little bit about myself. I am 28 years old and was recently married on September 18, 2010. It was such a happy day and the Lord greatly blessed it.
Now to go back a little bit farther, I was home schooled all the way through and I wouldn't want it any other way. This is where my creativity really started. My mom bought me some nail polish and I started painting my nails all different colors, then I would put stripes on my nails and that moved to checkered toenails. I had so much fun! My mom would always have some sort of craft for me do, whether is was making a mask out of paper plates or rubber stamping christmas cards. The latest thing I did was make my own wedding invitations, that was a lot of fun!
The purpose of this blog is to share with you some things we have learned over the years and also things we are currently learning. We like a lot of things, crafting, cooking, encouraging others, bible study, taking care of our families and visiting new places. So these are the things that we will be sharing with you, the things from our hearts.
Now on to the name of our blog! My mom and I love tea, we love drinking tea and going to tea houses. It kind of takes me back to the days of Pride and Prejudice (my favoite movie!) when the women would have afternoon tea. I wish I could do that every day! It's fun trying different flavors of tea and eating the little tea sandwiches. We also love the beach! Ever since I was little, my mom and I would have a weekly beach day during the summer. I have a lot of fond memories from those trips. I had a beach themed wedding with sand and shells every where! It was beautiful! So when it came to the name of this blog we wanted to put two of our favorite things together and thats how we came up with Tea Shells (also it's a play on the word seashells, which we thought was cool!)
So we hope you enjoy our blog as much as we will enjoy posting things for you to read! May God bless you!!
